Let’s get real for a second. It’s the end of February, only 1 month to go until the first quarter of 2019 is over AND only 5 months until Tough Mudder Ireland. I don’t know about you guys, but those New Years Resolutions we made to get fit in 2019 are long gone and forgotten. So here is what we propose; new month, new goals.

Join our ‘Marching in March’ Facebook group. The group will be used to encourage, motivate and help people become more active in a way that suits their schedule. We are using March to slowly build up our active minutes, steps and get small workouts into our daily routine so when it’s time to start really training for Tough Mudder (Don’t worry, there is time yet), it won’t be such a shock to the system. Are you with us?

What is Marching in March?

Marching in March is a Facebook group where people who are interested in getting fit can come together to encourage each other to get more active in the month of March.

What is the aim of the group?

The aim of the group is to have a community that will encourage and help you to become more active. This group is a stepping stone in the right direction for training to Tough Mudder. Our thinking is, use March to get more active in a slow and measurable way. This will ease working out into your daily routine and then by the time we are in April, you may be in a better position to start our 3-month training plan that will bring you up to the end of June. Perfect to have you ready on time for the 20th & 21st of July.

What do I need to do to be part of the group?

All you have to do is keep being active in your mind. To keep it interesting, the month will be filled with loads of challenges. All very do-able though. We believe in little steps to achieve bigger goals.

At the end of each week, we will post a leaderboard of who is getting the most steps in. If you would like to be part of this, you will have to email your daily steps to ireland@toughmudder.com at the end of the week. There will be spot prizes each week for those who are getting the most steps in.

Don’t be afraid to share your steps. There is no shame here. Even if you only got 2,000 steps. We will be taking it into account that some people sit at a desk for multiple hours a day while others walk a lot due to their jobs (PTs, nurses & teachers etc).

How can I join the group?

You can find the group here.
